The Jelly Belly factory is off of I-80 and highway 12.
They have tours every day of the week but the factory is only in production Monday through Friday. The tour is 40 minutes and they have a nice gift shop and a small restaurant. It’s a lot of fun for everyone.
Head to Saratoga, Ca south of Cupertino past the Apple headquarters. Go to the main Street of Saratoga and keep going on highway 9. When you get to the fork in the road highway 9 turns off to the right. Keep going straight to highway 236 this will take you into big basin redwoods, State Park. A nice park is full of redwood trees and close to Silicon Valley.
Go across the Golden Gate Bridge and on the other side is gate 6 1/2 Road in Sausalito where the houseboats live. Be careful walking around this is private property after all. It is going to fun and there are some really cool houseboats.
A little further north is Highway 131 that takes you to Mill Valley. In the center of town is a little book store that has a café. They make really good sandwiches and really good coffee. Sitting outside your right in the middle of town and you can see everything, a few redwood trees and all the foot traffic going back and forth.
Over in the southeast bay in Fremont, Ca. If you get off on Automall Parkway and take a left on grimmer Boulevard it’ll take you right to Lake Elizabeth. You can walk around the lake. There are some nice places for the kids to play and there’s always different types of waterfowl to look at.
On the other side of Lake Elizabeth if you take Stevenson Boulevard to Mission Boulevard when you go across Alameda Creek take a left on Niles Boulevard and that takes you to a little Oldtown that used to be called Niles. It is still intact but it’s part of Fremont now. A nice little strip of shops and restaurants.
